Rainy conditions over Northern, North-Central and North-Western Provinces and Trincomalee District will expect to continue further due to the low-pressure area in the vicinity of the country, the Meteorology Department said.
It said heavy showers of above 100 mm can be expected at some places.
Fairly strong winds about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times in the Northern, North Central and North-western provinces.
The Meteorology Department requested the public to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
