Hirunika Premachandra has said that she is eligible for the National List slot if the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) decides to allocate one of its five slots to a woman.
“I have obtained more than 30,000 preferential votes and that is a considerable amount. Besides, I have worked for the SJB with commitment,” she said during a media briefing yesterday (Nov. 20).
So far, the SJB has only named Ranjith Madduma Bandala for one of the five National List slots the party is eligible to.
However, it is said that Dullas Alahapperuma, Eran Wickramaratne, Dilan Perera, Imitiaz Bakeer Makar, Sujeewa Senasinghe and Mano Ganesan are also among the National List hopefuls.
