Hotline introduced to tell on govt. officials

A direct telephone number has been introduced to make complaints about the misdeeds of government officials, the State Ministry of Home Affairs reminded.

Accordingly, complaints can be made about malpractices in District Secretariats, Divisional Secretariats and other institutions belonging to the Ministry of Home Affairs through the telephone number 1905.

A team headed by an Additional Secretary of the State Ministry has been appointed to investigate the complaints.

Home Affairs State Minister Ashoka Priyantha has instructed the investigating officers to promptly act and take decisions in order to prevent injustices caused to the people who make complaints, especially when there are delays in investigating the complaints.

Meanwhile, the State Ministry further said that the candidates selected from the interviews will be recruited promptly to fill the vacancies in the Divisional Secretariats and District Secretariats.
