Several independent MPs who had become independent MPs, have crossed over to the opposition.
Accordingly, the MPs Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Chandima Weerakkody, Jayaratne Hearth, and Dr. Sudarshani Fernandopulle cross over to the opposition and will become a faction of the Samagi Jana Sandanaya.
The move came after talks with Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa at his office in the Parliament.
