Reports state the Mannar sand dunes and giant Baobab trees and the Delft island are among the locations India has requested to film and photograph using drone cameras.
Reports further state that the request letter, addressed to the Government of Sri Lanka by the Indian High Commission, has now been forwarded to the Defence Ministry.
The footage is to be used for a programme to introduce yoga to Sri Lanka.
