An Indian national attempting to smuggle a kilogramme of Ice narcotics into Sri Lanka, has been arrested this morning (Oct. 17) by the officers at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
The suspect arrived at the airport at 5:00 pm from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on SriLankan Airlines flight UL-315.
The street value of the narcotics found in his luggage, has been amounted to Rs. 25 million.
Customs investigations have revealed that the suspect was a businessman in India.
The suspect and the drugs were handed over to the officers of the Airport Police Narcotics Division for further investigations.
