A 34-year-old Indian national was arrested by Customs Narcotics Control Division officers at the Katunayake Airport arrival terminal today (March 05) morning for smuggling Kush worth Rs. 52 million.
The suspect, who works in Bangalore, India, had arrived from Bangkok, Thailand, on Thai Airways flight TG-307 at 1:00 AM.
Upon inspection, officers discovered 5.2 kilograms of Kush concealed in food packets inside his luggage.
The man was handed over to the Katunayake Airport Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations.
