The Ministry of Health has reached a decision to conduct an island-wide survey regarding the nutritional levels of children.
The survey will be conducted in line with National Nutrition Month, which falls in the month of June.
The nutritional levels of children under 5 years of age and children between 6 to 18 years of age will be measured separately.
The Family Health Bureau said the survery will be carried out by Family Health Officers and Public Health Inspectors.
A similar survey conducted last year revealed that malnutrition had increased among children.
The Bureau said accordingly special nutritional supplements were provided to affected children.
