The The Department of Meteorology has announced that rainy conditions across the island are expected to decrease from today (04).
However, the department noted that isolated showers or thundershowers may still occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts, particularly during the evening or night. Light rainfall is possible along the eastern coastal areas in the morning.
The Meteorological Department has also advised the public to take necessary precautions against potential hazards, including temporary strong winds and lightning, which may accompany thunderstorms.
