A 22-year-old undergraduate at the Management Faculty of the Jaffna University has died by suicide yesterday (17).
Police said that her body was found hanging at her home in Konavil, Kilinochchi.
The victim Wasanthakumar Dilakshia was admitted immediately to the Kilinochchi Hospital by her brother who saw her hanging.
However, she was pronounced dead on admission.
The reason for the death has not yet been ascertained, and the Kilinochchi Police are conducting further investigations.
