Janaka Wakkumbura has been sworn in before President Ranil Wickremesinghe as the State Minister of Environment at the Presidential Secretariat earlier today (Feb. 20), the Presidential Media Division states.
Mr. Wakwella’s latest appointment supplements his existing role as the State Minister of Provincial Councils & Local Government, the PMD adds.
The Ministry of Environment came under the purview of the President after the resignation of Keheliya Rambukwella.
