Sri Lankan mountaineering champion Johann Peries arrived at Katunayake Airport this morning (Feb. 24) after conquering two of the world’s highest peaks – Mount Vincent in Antarctica and Mount Aconcagua in Argentina.
With this latest achievement, Peries has successfully scaled the highest peaks on six continents: Mount Everest in Asia, Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mount Kosciuszko in Australia, Mount Elbrus in Europe, along with Mount Vincent and Mount Aconcagua.
The only challenge remaining is Mount Denali in North America, which he plans to attempt in May.
