A 33-year-old resident of Godaporahena in Warakagoda known as “Johna” has been arrested by the Warakagoda Police for selling heroin concealed inside bottle caps.
The suspect was arrested with heroin in his house during a raid conducted on information received that he was involved in heroin trafficking.
Police discovered that the suspect had meticulously placed heroin packets worth Rs.2,000 in bottle caps, placed them at various places along the roads and received money through online payment methods.
Police said the suspect has distributed heroin in the areas of Warakagoda, Nebada, Iddagoda, Thembuwana and Dodamgoda through this method.
