Johnston dodges CID

Published

on

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) said that the former Member of Parliament Johnston Fernando has been requested to come to the CID to make a statement regarding the unregistered BMW car that was found in the parking lot of the Colombo Hilton, but he has not come as yet.

Although the former MP had been informed to come to the CID to give a statement regarding the car in question, he has avoided appearing on the grounds that he is not well.

Accordingly, it is reported that although several investigation teams of the CID have searched for him during the past three days, no information has been received up until yesterday (17), despite the CID checking all the places where he resides and visits.

A statement is to be obtained from the former SLPP MP regarding the allegation of using an illegally assembled luxury car.
