The private tution teacher who was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing 16 school girls in Kalutara has been remanded.
He has been remanded until May 26.
The Police Media Division said the private tuition class teacher was arrested yesterday (11), when he arrived to record a statement at the Kalutara Child and Women Abuse Prevention Bureau.
The incident came to light following a complaint lodged by the wife of the accused tuition class teacher.
The woman had lodged a complaint with the Kalutara-North Police accusing her husband of being involved in extramarital affairs.
She had claimed that during an inspection of her husband’s laptop, she had found video recordings of the tuition class teacher sexually abusing school girls.
