The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has issued a Landslide Early Warning for four districts.
NBRO Senior Scientist Wasantha Senadheera said that the landslide warning notice has been issued for the districts of Galle, Matara, Kalutara and Ratnapura.
Accordingly, the people of Pitabeddara, especially in Kalubowitiyana of Matara District have been advised to be vigilant.
Meanwhile, landslide early warnings have been issued to the people of Walallawita, Palindanuwara, Mathugama, Agalawatta and Bulathsinhala in Kalutara District and Nagoda and Neluwa in Galle District as well.
