Leave of all employees at Sri Lanka Railways has been cancelled with immediate effect, said the Superintendent of Sri Lanka Railways today (14).
The announcement came after the Locomotive Operating Engineers’ Association of Sri Lanka Railways declared a 24-hour strike from midnight today.
The strike is in support of the Trade Unions’ mass strike in protest against the government’s tax policies.
