The list with names of 587 senior police officers who will retire by December 31 has been released subsequent to the decision to reduce the retirement age of government employees to 60.
Accordingly, six Senior DIGs, seven DIGs, 16 Senior Superintendents of Police and several Superintendents of Police are to be retired.
In addition, a list of 534 sub-inspectors, police inspectors and chief inspectors has also been issued.
