The main suspect involved in the shooting of a Buddhist monk in the Malwathu-Hiripitiya area has been arrested in Monaragala, Police said.
Ven. Kalapaluwawe Dhammarathana Thera of the Kehelkanda Kahatana Sri Gnanarama Temple in Malwathu Hiripitiya was killed in February.
The suspect had been hiding in the Hambegamuwa area after the shooting and is to be handed over to the Peliyagoda Crime Division.
Further investigations are underway.
