Former President Maithripala Sirisena has claimed that he is aware of the true perpetrators of the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks and is prepared to disclose this information if he is summoned to courts in this regard.
Mr. Sirisena made these comments to the media while addressing reporters in Kandy today (March 22).
However, he added that it is also the responsibility of the judges to maintain confidentiality.
“No one has disclosed who truly perpetrated the Easter Sunday attacks…If the court requests or issues an order regarding the matter, I am prepared to reveal their identities. Additionally, it is the responsibility of the judges to maintain confidentiality in this matter”, the ex-president has said.
