A 30-year-old man was arrested with a two and a half feet long sword for attempting to kill his wife for sending nude photos to her paramour, the Panadura South Police said.
A police officer said that an argument had taken place between the two when the suspect had found that his wife had sent nude photos to another man.
It was reported that the suspect had planned to break into the wife’s house yesterday (28) evening and to kill her with a sword. The police arrested the suspect along with the sword.
The arrested suspect is a resident of Modarawila in Panadura and was scheduled to be produced in the Panadura Magistrate’s Court.
