A man was injured in a shooting that took place at the Kurundukumbura Junction on the Kuliyapitiya-Hettipola Road last night (24), the Hettipola Police said.
Police said that the injured is a 49-year-old resident of Moonamaldeniya.
He was on his way home on a motorcycle when he was shot at by two men who arrived on another motorcycle.
The purpose of the shooting has not yet been ascertained.
