A 38-year-old man who sustained gunshot wounds in Maligawatta has died in hospital.
Police said the victim was being treated at the Colombo National Hospital after he was shot at near the H.R.Jothipala Mawatha in Maligawatta on September 1.
He was a resident of Baseline Road, Colombo 08.
The shooting was carried out by two men who arrived on a motorcycle.
Police said the 20-year-old motorcyclist was later arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division.
