The Sapugaskanda police has arrested a man who had allegedly raped his mother-in-law while his wife had gone out to see a musical show on Sunday night (20).
The suspect and his wife are living at a rented house in the Mabima area and the wife’s parents had visited them on Saturday night. The father had gone back to their home while the mother had remained at their daughter’s place.
The 54 year old mother-in-law has been admitted to the Ragama Teaching Hospital for a medical test while the suspect is to be produced before the Mahara Magistrate Court.
