A man who had attempted to attack a team from the Uragasmanhandiya police and flee, has been shot.
Police say that the man was wanted over a case of attacking another man with a sharp object. When the police had approached to arrest him, he had attempted to attack the police with a sharp object and flee.
The suspect has been injured after being shot in the leg.
