The Governor of Sabaragamuwa Province has issued a gazette notification temporarily removing Mawanella Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Noel Dasantha Steeven from that position.
Accordingly, Deputy Chairman Korale Gedara Piyathissa has been appointed as the PS Chairman.
Sabaragamuwa Governor Tikiri Kobbekaduwa has issued the Gazette in accordance with powers vested under the Section 185(3) (a) (i) of the Pradeshiya Sabhas Act No 15 of 1987.
