Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP – Mayantha Dissanayake has also said that it is more appropriate for the SJB and the United National Party (UNP) to work together.
He had said thus when questioned whether he was going to crossover to the government.
Noting that it was his personal view that a unification of the two parties was more appropriate since both their policies were more or less the same.
Noting that it was not appropriate at all to support extremist parties even casually and that the advantage of remaining divided goes to such parties.
Therefore, I am of the opinion that both parties should move ahead together, he said.
However, I have no intention of leaving the party to cross over to the government in any other way, he added.
