The Trade Minister’s actions will result in another ‘May 09, 2022 Riot’ since the people are frustrated with government officials, All Ceylon Egg Producers Association President R.M. Sarath Ratnayake said.
He said that Anura Marasinghe, who depends on the minister and has no knowledge or experience in the poultry industry, is directly responsible for the current state of egg production which has destroyed rural industries.
He also said that the trade minister is creating hatred among the people towards the government officials for releasing the stock of eggs brought to Sri Lanka for the purpose of getting commissions.
