A minor tremor was reported near Kataragama and Lunugamwehera last night at about 10.15.
Geological Survey and Mines Bureau Director General Ajith Prem said the tremor had a magnitude of 2.5 on the Richter scale.
The Bureau said that the tremor has been felt by the people in those areas.
