A tremor was experienced in Gampola last night (5), the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau said..
It said the tremor measured a magnitude of 2 on the Richter scale had taken place at around 10:49 pm.
The tremor was recorded across seismic meters in Mahakanadarawa, Hakmana, Pallekele and Buddhangala.
The Geological Survey and Mining Bureau said that the Pupurassa area has been identified as the epicenter of this tremor.
