A minor tremor measuring 2.3 on the Richter scale was reported in the Vavuniya area between 10:55 p.m. and 11:10 p.m. last night (18).
The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau (GSMB) confirmed that the tremor was felt in Vavuniya and Medawachchiya, and it was recorded at seismic stations in Pallekele, Mahakanadarawa, and Hakmana.
