The proposal of resolution to appoint a committee of Inquiry for the removal of suspended Inspector General of Police – Deshabandu Tennakoon from his post, will be presented to Parliament this evening (April 08) by Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne.
Prior to that, the second reading debate on the bill concerning property derived from criminal activities or the “Proceeds of Crime Bill” will take place this afternoon.
Furthermore, a regulation under the Criminal Procedure Code (Special Provisions) Act is also to be tabled for parliamentary approval.
