MoU signed to supply Thriposha continuously

A special memorandum of understanding was signed between South Asia Gateway Terminals Pvt Ltd. and the Ministry of Health yesterday (27) under the programme to continuously supply Thriposha to pregnant mothers, lactating mothers and babies with low birth weight.

Under the MoU, the company will supply essential ingredients to produce Thriposha for a period of one year as a donation amounting to Rs.185 million.

The agreement was signed by South Asia Gateway Terminals Pvt Ltd CEO Romesh David, Health Secretary Janaka Sri Chandragupta and Sri Lanka Thriposha Limited
Chairman Deepthi Kularathne in the presence of Health Minister Dr. Keheliya Rambukwella.

Sri Lanka is the only country in Asia that provides Thriposha as an immediate remedy for babies with low weight, and nearly 200,000 Thriposha packets are produced per month to be distributed among pregnant and lactating mothers as well as children with low weight.
