Social Empowerment State Minister Anupa Pasqual has stated that the names of two games popular in New Year celebrations have been changed with the intention of fostering a onceptual shift in society regarding differently abled individuals.
According the popular “”Kana Muttiya Bindeema” where blindfolded contestants try to break a hanging pot using a stick has been changed as “Vasana Muttiya Bindeema” while the “Andhayata Kiri Kaweema” which is a paired game where curd or yogurd is fed whilel one is blindfolded.
State Minister Pasqual made these remarks during a press briefing titled “Collective Path to a Stable Country” held at the President Media Centre (PMC).
