The Government intends to introduce a National Media Policy by June this year, Minister of Mass Media Nalinda Jayatissa states.
Speaking during the committee stage debate in Parliament today (March 06), the Minister said a programme will be introduced to educate people including school children on media ethics.
Also he said the digitalization of TV will be expedited as well.
He also said that the Presidential Media Awards will also be held this year after the absence of 02 years.
