Following a special operation mounted by the Sri Lanka Navy Intelligence, on receipt of information from the State Intelligence Service, a local multiday fishing trawler and a one-day fishing trawler with a stock of narcotics, suspected to be heroin, have been intercepted on the Southern seas.
The Navy said the seized trawlers and suspects aboard are being escorted to the Galle harbour for onward action.
