Attorney-at-Law Supun Wijeratne has been appointed to the position of Chairman of the National Youth Services Council.
The post was left vacant following the resignation of Chinthaka Hewapathirana last week.
Wijeratne is a Law graduate from the Open University and also served as the Chairman of the Moratuwa Youth Society Regional Federation and the Vice Chairman of the Colombo District Youth Society Federation.
He is also a member of the Fourth Youth Parliament and has served as the Colombo District Group Leader of the Youth Parliament.
