The President has recommended to the Constitutional Council that Mr. Jayantha Wijerathne, a retired SLAS special grade officer, be appointed as the Chairman of the Welfare Benefit Board, the PMD states.
It was reported earlier today (15) that the previous Chairman of the Welfare Benefits Board, Mr. B. Wijayaratne had resigned from his position.
