Air India delay costs over 100 their chance to vote

The three hour delay of the Air India flight from Delhi, India to  Colombo AI-283 scheduled to arrive last night has placed the Sri Lankan passengers in great difficulty, it is reported.

The flight was scheduled to land in Katunayake at 1.40 am today (16), but the flight eventually arrived at around 5.00 am.

IT is reported that some of the passengers were to travel to distant areas such as Badulla to cast their votes.

It is also reported that some of the Sri Lankan passengers had an exchange of words with the Indian Airlines officials at the Delhi airport over the delay.
