The President had decided to appoint a Presidential commission to probe into the controversial Bond Issue during a hush-hush meeting at the President's residence with four of his closest confidantes.
Moments after deciding to appoint the commission, a minister who had attended the meeting had received a phone call from minister of International Trade - Malik Samarawickrama who had asked about the meeting.
Speaking further, he had said that the Prime minister would phone the minister soon.
The Prime minister was overseas, when the meeting was convened.
'Sri Lanka Mirror' reliably learns that the Prime minister had phoned the minister shortly afterwards and demanded further details.
