Covid-19 spreads to Foreshore police station

Several police officers of the Foreshore police station have been infected with the Covid-19 virus.

Accordingly, all officers of the Foreshore police station have been quarantined, according to the office of the Western Province Senior DIG.

It is also said that the court premises in Maligakanda and Fort will be fumigated today (30).

A sergeant of the Colombo Colombo Fraud investigation Bureau and his wife have been infected with the Covid-19 and the couple are said to be living in the police quarters of the Foreshore police station.

It is reported the virus had initially spread from them to 02 police constables attached to the Foreshore police station.

Yesterday, it was reported that 15 officers attached to the Colombo Crimes Division had contracted Covid-19.
