The vehicles are being brought down despite the President calling for a report on similar vehicles being brought down for the same purpose on an earlier instance.

Earlier, 04 such vehicles were given to leading Buddhist monks of the Malwathu chapter. However, the chief prelate of the Malwathu chapter had declined the gift.
