The verdict was given by a three member judge panel comprising Eva Wanasundara, Buwaneka Aluvihare and Anil Gunaratne.

In his FR petition filed on October 31, Nettikumara said the CID was preparing to arrest him over the threat he made to Anika Wijesuriya and her brother Vijith Wijesuriya.

He had cited the Inspector General of Police, the Director of the CID and the Attorney General as respondents.

Anika Wijesuriya had testified before the Bond Commission regarding the renting of an apartment to MP Ravi Karunanayake through Perpetual Treasuries at Monarch Residencies, Colpetty.
