The Cabinet has granted approval to refrain from charging visa fees from tourists arriving in Sri Lanka from China, Russia, India, Thailand and Indonesia.
Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) Chairman Priyantha Fernando said the decision was reached with the aim of increasing foreign tourist attraction.
He said discussions are being held with China with regard to operating another airline, as the number of tourist arrivals is expected to increase.
