The project of providing nutrition packs for pregnant and lactating mothers has been suspended for several months due to lack of funds, Secretary to the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs Neil Bandara Hapuhinna said.
The Secretary said the project will be resumed promptly once the requested funds have been received.
Under this project, over 155,000 pregnant and lactating mothers will be given a nutrition pack worth Rs.4,500 each.
