An investigation has been launched under an Assistant Superintendent of Police over an incident in which a police jeep parked at the Ja-Ela police station had been damaged by writing obscenities all over the vehicle.

According to police sources, the driver of this jeep, who is a police sergeant, had parked the jeep at the police garage yesterday (28) to wash it. Once he had returned to inspect it, obscene words were found written on the windows, doors and the bonnet of the vehicle.

In addition to writing obscenities, the surface of the vehicle had been scratched.

Sources said that outsiders are not allowed in this police garage.

So far no information has been revealed regarding the culprits.
