A suspect who impersonated as the OIC of Padukka Police was arrested by the Moronthuduwa Police for sexually abusing a woman and robbing her of gold.
The victim is employed at a massage parlor and had befriended the suspect through Facebook.
After arriving at a lodge in Moronthuduwa, the suspect had said that he is the OIC of the Padukka Police and had shown her an official identity card.
The suspect had then abused her and robbed her of her gold necklace and fled away.
He was arrested by the Morontuduwa Police and the stolen gold items were also recovered.
