The Samagi Jana Balawega and the National People’s Power are set to propose an adjournment debate in Parliament today to emphasize the importance of holding the presidential election as scheduled.
Chief Opposition Whip Lakshman Kiriella announced the proposal at a party leaders’ meeting yesterday.
Both Kiriella and National People’s Power leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake are determined to ensure the debate takes place.
