Police say that they have removed over 600,000 posters pasted with regard to the Presidential election.
According to the police media spokesman – DIG Nihal Thalduwa, the following propaganda material has been removed and seized by police so far since Aug. 17.
- Posters : 627,300 removed and 207,900 seized
- Banners : 1,500 removed and 1,100 seized
- Cutouts : 1,550 removed and 1,600 seized
- Leaflets : 7,600 removed and 10,750 seized
