The Colombo Chief Magistrate Mr. Prasanna Alwis today (Feb. 22) slapped an overseas travel ban on the Director Board of a pyramid company from Kurunegala named “Ride to Three Freedom” or R3F, which is said to have defrauded public money of over Rs. 10 billion.
The overseas travel ban was imposed on one Irugal Bandara who created the R3F app, Madhusanka Attanayake – the Chief Executive Director of the company, I.M. Ajantha – the Sales Manager as well as Director Board members Nimalaratne Jayasinghe, D.P. Rohini, and WM Nimal Shantha.
The Colombo Chief Magistrate also ordered the SLCERT to immediately call for their phone data records.
The Colombo Chief Magistrate issued these orders after considering facts presented to the court by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division of the CID.
